Description An innovative manufacturing company in Oceanside is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to drive the accuracy and efficiency of their financial processes. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in preparing financial audits, closing accounting periods, and ensuring compliance with GAAP principles. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled professional to take on advanced accounting responsibilities in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: + Serve as the lead accountant during month-end and year-end closings, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements. + Conduct detailed account reconciliations, variance analyses, and resolve discrepancies in financial data. + Collaborate with internal teams to prepare financial audits and support external audit processes. + Assist the Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. + Develop and recommend improvements to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. + Ensure compliance with GAAP principles, tax regulations, and corporate accounting practices. + Lead special projects, such as cost analyses or ERP system upgrades, to improve the company's financial operations. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; advanced degree or CPA designation preferred. + 3-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial audits and account reconciliation. + Excellent analytical skills with a precise attention to detail and accuracy. + Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel capabilities. + Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present data effectively.
