New Generation Supplements is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as an HR Specialist. We are a cattle supplement manufacturing company with multiple production facilities and a dealer/distributor network that covers the Central and Western United States and Central Canada.

About the job

We are seeking an HR Specialist to support the daily functions of the Human Resources department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, enforcing company policies and practices and facilitating training/coaching on particular topics.

Site based in Belle Fourche South Dakota

Key responsibilities

What you need for the role.

• Administer compensation and benefits programs.
• Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
• Conduct employee onboarding and training.
• Maintain employee records (e.g., hiring, termination, leaves, transfers).
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies.
• Address employee relations issues and grievances.
• Support performance management and employee development.
• Draft HR documents such as offer letters and warning notices.
• Promote HR programs that foster a positive workplace culture
• To facilitate and own the IT issues in both US sites to ensure effective communication with our outsourced IT company

Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.
• Knowledge of labour laws and HR compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years of HR experience preferred.
• Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus
