Job Description

Database Administrator Join CACI as the prime contractor on a growing program supporting NAVSEA 03D3 Digital Program Office as a Database Administrator supporting the Navy Maintenance and Modernization Enterprise Solution (NMMES), a mission-critical program that supports over 45,000 users executing naval ship and submarine maintenance operations worldwide. Responsibilities: Support database administration tasks for computerized databases Assist in installing databases onto appropriate computer operating systems Help create databases and configure them for data warehousing applications Support the creation of database objects including Indexes, Clusters, Snapshots, and Views Assist with management of Rollback Segments and Data File Size Write basic code for update queries Update data dictionaries as new fields are added to databases Maintain data correction logs with proper documentation Support database performance monitoring activities Assist with backup and recovery operations Document database procedures and configurations Work under general supervision to support database operations Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 0 to 5 years of experience in database administration Basic knowledge of database concepts and procedures Understanding of SQL fundamentals Knowledge of database backup and recovery principles Desired: Experience with DoD/Navy systems Entry-level database certifications Knowledge of database performance basics Understanding of data security principles Basic scripting abilities Familiarity with database documentation practices Experience with database monitoring tools This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
