The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Storage Engineer to join a new cyber security program and play a key role in supporting government-critical systems. You will be part of a program that oversees development, integration, delivery, and operations and maintenance of IT managed security services, which encompasses support to monitor the cybersecurity threat and security posture situational awareness for the enterprise. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award! Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise storage systems that support mission-critical applications and infrastructure; managing storage area networks (SAN), network-attached storage (NAS), and cloud-based storage solutions; applying expertise in data storage technologies, backup and recovery strategies, and performance optimization; performing storage provisioning, capacity planning, and performance tuning; implementing and maintaining backup, disaster recovery, and data replication strategies; monitoring storage infrastructure for performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and system failures; collaborating with IT, cloud, and security teams to integrate storage solutions; supporting cloud-based storage solutions (AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage) and hybrid environments; implementing security best practices including encryption, access controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, NIST); troubleshooting storage-related issues; automating storage management tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python); and maintaining documentation of storage configurations, policies, and procedures. Requirements include an active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance, U.S. citizenship, a Bachelor's degree with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience or a Master's with 6 to 10 years of experience (Doctorate may be considered), and Security+ or other IAT I certification is favorable.
