This position is for an OB/GYN locum physician needed to provide on-call coverage at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, NY. The role involves managing deliveries, gynecological emergencies, and performing procedures such as vaginal delivery, cesarean sections, and laparoscopic surgeries. The candidate must be board certified or eligible, reside within 30 minutes of the hospital, and work with support staff including certified nurse midwives and general surgeons.

Requirements Adirondack MC, Saranac Lake, NY OB/GYN Locum Needed for Coverage: November 14–15 & December 26–28 **Board Certification:** Preferred (ACOG or ABOG), but will accept board eligible candidates with strong qualifications Shift Times:** 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-hour pager call only) Call Requirements:** On-call only; must be within 30 minutes of the hospital Average Volume:- Deliveries: 2–6 per month - GYN Emergencies: 2–4 per month Procedures Required:- Vaginal delivery - Cesarean section - Laparoscopic skills for typical GYN emergency coverage - Dilation and curettage (D&C) Support Staff:- APP Coverage: Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) - Physician Backup: General Surgery EMR Systems:- Meditech - eClinical Works Credentialing Timeline:** 2–4 weeks, dependent on physician responsiveness Additional Information:- Pager call only - Low volume department - Must be within 30 minutes of the hospital for call coverage
