Description We Are Seeking a Custodian in Dallas! Overview: Mr Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Texas. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets.
Job Summary: Responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris and keeping areas tidy. Vacuums and polishes floor, washes carpets, empties trash cans, and replaces trash can liners. Assists with maintenance tasks such as: repairing cracks, painting and replacing light bulbs and other fixtures.
Responsibilities: - Sweep and mop floors
- Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping and wiping down surfaces
- Clean and disinfect laboratory equipment
- Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces
- Mix various cleaning agents
- Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors with soapy water or other cleaners sponges and squeegees
- Remove dust from furniture and rub the surface to clean it
- Clean and service bathrooms with mops and disinfectants
- Move heavy equipment and furniture such as floor scrubber and office furniture
- Refilling of soap and hand towels in the bathrooms
- Ability to stand for long hours and work in confined spaces
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging between 33 and 100 degrees (inside & outside)
- Use of machinery including forklift (after internal certification)
- Clean garbage containers daily
- Patch/repair cracks around the facility
- Paint as necessary (including safety sensitive markings)
- Replacement of light bulbs and other fixtures throughout the building
- Pressure cleaning of the warehouse (inside as well as outside)
- Must be able to do other small handyman tasks as required by business needs
- Clean and disinfect all restrooms through the facility, to include the use of chemicals such as bleach and fabuloso.
- Follows all GMP policies and procedures while in the warehouse.
- Perform and log cooler temperature checks to ensure food safety compliance.
- Complete and sign off on sanitation and food safety paperwork accurately.
- Calibrate thermometers daily to maintain accurate readings.
- Manage chemical inventory and ensure proper labeling and storage.
- Test and record chemical concentrations to meet safety standards.
- Report potential issues to management.
- Ability to be on their feet for long hours and work in confined spaces.
- Pest control report review in partnership with the Food Safety Manager
- Other clerical duties as assigned by the Food Safety Manager
